Visual brand development and bespoke website design for Cube Green Energy.
Coming to us towards the start of their journey, Cube Green Energy wanted a bolder brand identity to help them stand out from the crowd.
Offering solutions in Continental Europe, Cube Green Energy are dedicated to accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon economy and needed a strong brand to support that vision.
About Cube Green Energy
Cube Green Energy is a renewable energy producer and developer focussed on the upgrading and repowering of onshore wind farms and deployment of PV and state-of-the-art battery storage, providing renewable energy solutions to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.
With expertise throughout the project cycle, they develop, repower, construct, and operate wind and solar farms, investing in the deployment of associated emerging technologies such as battery storage and green hydrogen.
Managed by seasoned energy sector experts, the platform has a highly experienced management and is backed by I Squared Capital, a leading global infrastructure investment manager with over $30 billion in assets under management.
Communicating the future of renewable energy
The existing brand needed a significant overhaul to better position Cube Green Energy within Europe's energy market. Initial brand strategy and competitor analysis allowed us to understand how Cube Green Energy sat alongside other companies in its industry and define the brand accordingly.
It also laid the foundations for re-designing and developing the website; supported by copywriting and a suite of branded communications to introduce Cube Green Energy to the renewables industry in a bold but professional manner.
The process
Considerate design for impact
When evolving the existing brand, particular focus was given to visual language and messaging, using an authoritative and approachable tone of voice. The photography library was updated to include a human element making the brand more personable, and a consistent iconography style and graphic language was developed featuring striking circular corners and right angles to use across various comms.
Sensitivity and balance was adopted to steer stakeholders out of their comfort zone to introduce bright colours, bold graphics and eye-catching creative while maintaining a professional identity that reflects the learned backgrounds of the Cube Green Energy team.
Cohesive, consistent, and future-proofed
The brand refresh laid foundations for a suite of branded materials for both online and offline use.
Website structure and content were revised and moved in line with the updated tone of voice and to provide a better user journey. Completed with subtle animations to geometric graphic language, we added a sense of movement within an industry that never stands still.
Multiple touchpoints from the humble business card to event materials have been carefully crafted by the Fourleaf team to strengthen the Cube Green Energy brand and their position within the renewables arena.
When refreshing a brand, we place as much emphasis on futureproofing it as we do updating it. Brand guidelines define the overall look and feel of a brand and it's essential that everyone understands the value of the brand and how to use it, as well as how not to use it. An updated set of brand guidelines ensures any future collateral or comms fall in line with the existing communications.
